چکیده

Introduction: Hematological parameters are raised for classification and determining of prognosis in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Objectives: The aim this study is to determine the relation between severity illness serum level red cell distribution width (RDW), mean platelet volume (MPV), (PDW) large ratio (P-LCR) patients with COVID-19 focusing on severe critically ill patients. Patients Methods: In cross-sectional investigation, we examined correlation value RDW, PDW, P-LCR MPV hospitalized Velayat hospital, located Qazvin province Iran from November 2020 March 2021. According clinical characteristics, were divided into two group ill. Patients’ data including age, gender, extracted health information system our hospital. Then, these analyzed compared among groups. Results: 59 evaluated. age was 62.07 years 59.3% female. Around 64.4 percent median RDW significantly higher than (P = 0.009). had a significant positive (correlation coefficient: 0.341, P 0.008). Conclusion: Our showed that might be helpful differentiate patient one.

In reference to Relation of mean platelet volume and red blood cell distribution width with epistaxis.

We applaud the work by Kemal et al., in their well-presented article. The authors found lower mean platelet volume (MPV) and red blood cell distribution (RDW) levels in epistaxis. It is worth noting that any process resulting in the release of immature erythrocyte/platelet or increased destruction of red blood cell/platelet will change the levels of RDW/MPV. Moreover, it has been reported that ...

Relation of mean platelet volume and red blood cell distribution width with epistaxis.

OBJECTIVES/HYPOTHESIS Mean platelet volume is the measurement of the average size of platelets in the blood, and red blood cell distribution width is the variability of the size of red blood cells in circulation. This study aimed to investigate if there was any relationship between mean platelet volume, red blood cell distribution, and epistaxis. STUDY DESIGN Prospective controlled trial. M...

Red Cell Distribution Width and Mean Platelet Volume in Patients With Pityriasis Rosea.

BACKGROUND Pityriasis rosea (PR) is an inflammatory skin disorder of unknown etiology. However, it is suggested to be related with the reactivation of human herpes virus 7 (HHV-7) and/or HHV-6. It is sometimes diffucult to distinguish PR from PR-like drug eruptions and other inflammatory disorders, so we need new parameters which are cheap and easy in determining PR. Red blood cell distribution...

Red cell distribution width and mean platelet volume in patients with irritable bowel syndrome

INTRODUCTION Possible pathophysiological mechanisms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) are interactions between microbial flora of the gut and the mucosal/systemic immune system, post-infectious status and inflammation. Mean platelet volume (MPV) and red cell distribution width (RDW) have been reported as inflammatory markers in patients with inflammatory bowel disease, but they have not been st...
